Skating In The US – Bellevue
After moving houses end of last year I lost access to my local pumptrack. The weather in the Winter time has been sort of rainy and due to new job tasks I wasn’t able to get out much. Luckily an opportunity to travel to the states came up.
A New Ride
The local skate park at my new home location is much different to all the places I been before and so I bought myself a new popsicle skateboard. The new ride is pretty different to the boards I am used to ride before, I think I will introduce it later in another post. After getting used to it in a few short weekend sessions I decided to take it with me to my next trip to the US. I had a quick job in Bellevue WA queued up. Perfect! After fitting it into my suitcase I was ready to go.
Indoor Ramps

After quickly arranging a session with an US friend we ended up at the Bellevue Indoor Skate Park. The Bellevue Indoor Skate Park is a pretty nice location full of ramps and after trying it out a few times I managed to make my first drop in on a ramp here. A truly great experience.
The Bellevue Indoor Skate Park can be used by everyone for a small fee. It is sponsored by the Bellevue community. Skating requires a helmet but they have a bunch of helmets to use free of charge there.
Later on it got more crowdy at the park. But what can I say, the locals are really killing it. I haven’t seen so many great skaters in a while. The tricks performed here were just awesome. Everyone was nice and welcoming.
The Outdoor Experience
After watching some real cool transition, we decided to check out the Bellevue Outdoor Skate Plaza. The Bellevue Outdoor Skate Plaza is another skate park located right next to the indoor location. This park is quite huge compared to anything I seen in Germany so far. We had an amazing time casually riding around a bit and testing some of the smaller ramps here. At shit once but went home stoked. The locals were pretty friendly and welcoming folks and we had a great time at this place. If I ever come back to Bellevue, I will defiantly go there again.
